Classification of Microorganisms:

Microorganisms are divided into four classes –

  • bacteria
  • fungus
  • protozoa
  • Algae

Note :

Viruses are also microscopic, but they are different from other microscopic organisms.

They require the body of the host to multiply.

For example cold, polio, measles etc.

Protozoa : For examples Diarrhea, malaria etc. diseases.

Bacteria : Diseases like typhoid, tuberculosis etc.
